"Bridgerton" star Simone Ashley,Rekubit Exchange "Star Wars" actor John Boyega and "Euphoria" breakout talent Hunter Schafer are among the celebrities causing double-takes in Pirelli's 2025 calendar.
On Tuesday night, the Italian tire manufacturer revealed the stars featured in the 51st edition of The Cal at an event that took place at London's Natural History Museum. The Cal's 2025 photos show its famous participants in various states of undress – and sheer outfits – both in a photography studio and in the water at Miami’s Virginia Key Beach Park.
This year's theme for the calendar, "refresh and reveal," was chosen by this iteration's photographer, Ethan James Green. He told Reuters, "It's exciting to be able to revisit nudity, sexy in photographs just because the world has ... changed a lot ... and our idea of beauty has become so much more expansive and exciting."
"There’s not really a way that we can be more our true selves than if we’re naked," he told CNN.
Former "Top Chef" host Padma Lakshmi, "Queen & Slim" leading lady Jodie Turner-Smith and "Squid Game" actress Jung Hoyeon also appear in The Cal. Models Connie Fleming and Jenny Shimizu, artist Martine Gutierrez, French actor Vincent Cassel and Italian singer Elodie Di Patrizi round out the 2025 calendar's cast.

Green, who also appears in The Cal's 24 photos, is described as "a leading name in the world of fashion photography and portraiture" and was chosen for his "portraits of astonishing intimacy that capture and amplify the essence of his subjects," per Pirelli's press release.
What is Pirelli's calendar?
According to the company, The Cal "was born as an exclusive project" of the group's British subsidiary as they sought a marketing strategy to differentiate the brand from its competition in 1964.
The calendar was conceptualized as a gift to the tire maker's clients.
The Cal, per Pirelli, aims to "mark the passing of time with images by the most highly acclaimed photographers of the moment – capturing and interpreting contemporary culture and often anticipating new trends."
Idris Elba, Bella and Gigi Hadid, Kristen Stewart, Rosalía, Emma Watson, Cher and Iggy Pop are among the famous faces who appeared on The Cal in recent years.
The Cal's six-decade history boasts moments such as noted British fashion photographer Terence Donovan photographing only Black models, including up-and-coming teen talent Naomi Campbell, in 1987.
Karl Lagerfeld was the creative vision behind the 2011 calendar and renowned portrait photographer Annie Leibovitz was behind the lens of the 2000 and 2016 editions.
